                      • CANCELLED - PE Intermediate Bootcamp: October 17, 31, November 7, 14, 21 - Online or In-Person

                        Project Engineers (PEs) are Project Managers in training.  Their success on construction projects comes from mastering hard and soft skills necessary to run work.  This bootcamp builds upon the PE Fundamentals Bootcamp (Units 1 – 3). This new unit targets Project Engineers that are interested in acquiring an understanding of intermediate project engineer responsibilities.  This course also offers advantages for craft leaders and administrative personnel aspiring to understand techniques necessary to become a more integral part of the project team. This bootcamp is taught by seasoned instructors eager to impart their work experiences and nurture the next generation of construction professionals.

                        Unit 4:

                        October 17: Building Information Modeling (BIM) Fundamentals

                        This session includes learning the role of the Project Engineer when BIM is utilized on a project in additional to an in-depth discussion of how to leverage technology to increase jobsite productivity.

                        October 31: How to Manage Conflict and Have Difficult Conversations
                        Construction sites are full of difficult discussions and in this session, you will learn techniques to manage conflict, set expectations, and have those difficult discussions.

                        November 7: What Every Constructor Needs to Know About Building Envelope
                        One of the top litigated issues in construction defects relates to the building envelope.  In this session you will understand risks associated with the envelope and learn to identify issues that may lead to future claims.

                        November 14: Schedule Updating Techniques + Entitlement and Impact Analysis
                        This session builds upon the scheduling session in the Project Engineering Bootcamp, with industry best practices relating to as-built status techniques and impact analysis.

                        November 21: Subcontractor Buy-Out Techniques and Best Practices
                        Getting accurate scope coverage for the right price is critical to the success of a project and this session covers trade scopes, bid tabs, buy-out logs, subcontractor bonding, and subcontracting best practices.

                        The Instructor:

                        Dan Rondinelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University and has been constructing commercial projects for 34 years. Additionally, since 1999, he has taught plan reading, quantity take-off, and estimating at CSU on a part-time basis.

                        Dan possesses a "Class A" contractor's license in the City and County of Denver and is a Certified Cost Professional. Outside of building and teaching, Dan spends his time in his woodshop, engaging in hands-on craftsmanship.
