The Safety Council topic for September: Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
Presented by: Brad Baptiste, OSHA Region VIII VPP Manager
The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) recognize employers and workers in the private industry and federal agencies who have implemented effective safety and health management systems and maintain injury and illness rates below national Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for their respective industries. Brad Baptiste, the Region VIII VPP Manager will provide us with an understanding of what is the VPP, how does the VPP work, and how the VPP benefits the employers, employees, and OSHA.
