Why can't my team collaborate? I have all of this technology and we are still not collaborating. Why can't we attract and retain better people? Why is there so much conflict within our project teams? Why can't we create high performing teams on every project? Why don't our people work safely?
We have the answer to hlep transform the construction industry to be more collaborative, more relationship driven, and more fun! Research over the last 20 years has clearly proven that a leader's Emotional Intelligence has a stronger correlation with their success than IQ. Unlike IQ, Emotional Intelligence (EI) can be measured and improved. In this signature program, Brent will teach us the foundation of Emotional Intelligence by examining its importance, how it is measured, how it can be improved, and the powerful results it has, specifically on the construction industry. We will also learn about the typical emotional intelligence profiles for construction industry professionals and how they relate to industry issues.
Enlightening and entertaining, this program teaches participants that investing in their Emotional Intelligence is not just an investment in themselves, but in their organization and projects as well. Attendees will each take a Ghyst Emotional Intelligence assessment that will help them to evaluate their personal and professional strengths and weaknesses. Attendees will learn specific ways to improve upon their Emotional Intelligence and maximize their professional success, and ultimately, their company's bottom line.
With past experience in the construction industry, Brent Darnell offers personal insight into the industry's core challenges. Brent Darnell is the international best-selling author of "The People-Profit Connection" and a leading authority on Emotional Intelligence. Brent has been teaching emotional intelligence and critical people skills to the AEC industry since 2002. He is President and owner of Brent Darnell International, a training and consulting company that maximizes companies' success by tapping into the "soft" skills, or the Emotional Intelligence, of each employee. Brent was recently awarded with the prestigious honor of being named among Engineering News-Record's Top 25 Newsmakers.
