The 2011 AGC Construction Education and Research Foundation goal is to raise $30,000.00 for the foundation by December 31, 2011. The foundation was established in 2001 to support a variety of Activities, Programs and Educational, Career, and Workforce efforts. In 2011, the Foundation spent $48,000.00 in support for:

·        Scholarships for students

·        Colorado Construction Career Days

·        Construction Industry Training Council  (CITC)

·        AGC Student Chapters

·        Educator Workshops and Programs

·        Construction Careers Programs for Schools

·        Professional Development

T
o continue to provide the funds to support these programs, the AGC Construction Education and Research Foundation needs to build it’s funding base. To kick-start the fundraising, a 2011 Fundraising Campaign was started in September with an evening Social at the governor’s residence’s Carriage House and Garden. With a strong start to meet the goal, the campaign continues till December 31, 2011, to realize the final goal.

The FLF and the AGC Associate Council were the premier sponsors of the Fundraising event and have established a “2011 challenge” this year to match foundation donations dollar for dollar up to $15,000.00. The Donations are being tracked with a Fundraising Success Graph located on the AGC Website homepage.
