Categories and Dues Structure
Dues are payable with the firm's application for membership
General Contractor
Home Chapter Member
General Contractor members are Regular Members of the AGC of America
and the AGC of Colorado. Upon being accepted as a Regular Member,
a firm becomes liable to pay Volume Assessments to both the local
chapter and the national chapter.
Volume is defined as the value, based on total receipts, of all
construction put in place whether as a general contractor or a construction
manager anywhere in the United States. Volume Assessments are based
on the value of construction put in place during the previous calendar
year regardless of whether the member reports income for income
tax purposes on a completed job basis or on a fiscal year basis.
The dues chart for general contractors is a part of the application
for membership and are payable with a firm's membership.
Home Chapter Members may elect to pay Chapter volume Assessments
(not in Minimum Dues) in one of three ways:
- Full Payment
- Semi-Annually
- Quarterly
General Contractor
Non-Home Regular Member
Non-Home Members do not pay AGC of America dues to our Chapter.
A firm applying for Non-Home status is liable only for Chapter Volume
Assessments only on work performed in Colorado. If there is no volume
in the previous year, the firm should submit the minimum dues for
a non-home general contractor. These dues are calculated on the
dues chart and are payable with a firm's application for membership.

Specialty Contractor membership is comprised of individuals, firms
or associations engaged principally as a subcontractor in commercial
building or industrial construction.
A Specialty Contractor Member pays dues based on annual volume.
