The Associated General Contractors of Colorado Building Chapter Inc. was founded in 1930 by 13 general contractors in the Denver area. In 1932 the Association formally became a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.

Over the years, the association has grown to over 300 member firms throughout the state. The AGC of Colorado represents a wide variety of firms, both union and non-union shops, public and privately owned; and, from very large to very small. The membership of AGC/C is comprised of general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and professional service providers.

Every year, AGC/C members complete 70 percent of the commercial building in the state of Colorado.
